SSAF Elementary and High School Curling Championship 2024

Based on schools’ feedback, we are looking at a hybrid Learning/Banner Event.

Location: Richmond Hill Curling Club 121 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3A8
Date: Friday February 23rd, 2024.
Timings: On ice 9:00 AM; Off ice 3:00 PM. Awards/extra time until 3:30 PM.

Plan for Day:
9:00 AM to 10:30 AM – tutorials and practices.
10:30 AM to 3:00 PM – round-robin tournament play, leading to Banners [Elem/HS]
Lunch during non-play times of tournament.

Open to declarations: Friday, December 15
Closes: Friday, January 12

Please include in declaration:
-School Name
-Coach and Athletic Director Name and email address(es)
-Team entry>>Elem(gr.8 or lower) or HS(gr.9-12) -A team is considered 5 players. 4 plus a rotated in spare.

• If a school wants to send more than one team, submit a REQUEST at time of declaration. We will let you know after declarations close and numbers harden.

Notes:

1.players do not need on-ice experience but must be knowledgeable of the game before arriving.
2.players on elem teams must wear a helmet (CSA hockey or bicycle helmet)
3.schools will be billed per student and money will be debited out of your SSAF account after convenor report is submitted
